Hey there,

If you’re seeing this it means not only are you on my website, but you’re actually reading, and therefore I’ve somewhat succeeded already …

For my first blog post, I am just going to make it a quick one and introduce myself. I always feel more comfortable hiring somebody I know a little bit about, especially when they will be integrated into my life, home and even my family through the service they’re providing. A sense of familiarity is comforting when I’m proposing to take charge of some of the most important moments you’ll ever have.

I am almost 30 years old (yikes), am married with an 8-month-old son and am a British event planner & lifestyle consultant. I spent a lot of my childhood in St Lucia, eventually moving here full time when I met my- now-husband. I am a homebody and always have an arts & craft/home project on the go or am ‘stuck’ to my phone browsing pinterest. I am gradually learning new tricks and – I hope- improving. We are now coming into our 3rd living room design in 2 years plus living through demolition of part of the house- anyone with a teething baby can imagine how that is! 2 weeks down, 2 to go!

I have recently launched ‘By Charlie’ which offers Concierge Services and Event Management Services for both the tourist & local markets. My professional portfolio is varied and more info about that can be seen in the ‘About’ section of the website. I have over a decade of experience in events in addition to positions as Personal Assistant and Administrator, so I like to think I’m a little mixed bags of skills.

I came up with By Charlie Ltd after a childhood friend came here on holiday, but stayed in a privately owned villa, and had no clue where to go, what to do or how to arrange either. I then began visiting other surrounding islands- and seeing the potential that St Lucia has to provide certain services it currently doesn’t offer. In addition to my concierge menu and event management services, I aim to introduce some brand new events to the island, details of which will be coming soon! There is very little to do at weekends, especially if you’re not in the mood for the beach, and I want to introduce some new & exciting annual fixtures to the St Lucian calendar for various audiences covering various aspects & topics. Please let me know in the comments, or through our facebook page, if there is a particular event you think the island needs. I welcome comments, feedback and ideas, as well as reviews and discussions.

The website will provide you with the official services we offer at ‘By Charlie’ whilst my blog will take you “behind the scenes,”. I will offer tips, tricks, inspiration, do’s and don’t, ‘how to’ guides and various other ramblings that I find to be of some use.

Hope you visit soon…

Charlie
